Join the Alumni Association for the upcoming virtual Alumni Information Series: How to improve your Online Cybersecurity on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 6:30 p.m.

Julian Pileggi '07 will join moderator Matt Montemurro '05 to discuss best practices for personal online cybersecurity. Topics include creating and managing passwords, protecting online accounts, safe browsing habits, protecting your home computers, using Internet connected smart devices, and more.

Julian Pileggi '07 is currently a Security Engineer for a big tech company, and a part-time instructor for the University of Toronto's Cybersecurity bootcamp. Until recently, Julian worked for over six years in cybersecurity consulting, helping organizations that were breached to locate the attackers in their environment, figure out what the attackers did, and determine how to remove them. During that time, Julian also delivered training on digital forensics and incident response to clients, the public, government agencies and law enforcement. Julian drew on his past experience working in the cybersecurity team of one of Canada's big five financial institutions. 

 

Matt Montemurro '05, moderator, is responsible for managing and trading on behalf of all passive and ETF related fixed income portfolios at BMO Global Asset Management. Matt has spent his entire career at BMO, joining through the Wealth Management Associate program and working in various roles in trading and portfolio management. Outside of BMO, Matt is one of the founders of a luxury luggage and accessories company, called monte & coe, that focuses on timeless design, handmade craftsmanship, and local production. Matt has an MBA and HBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business and is a CFA charter holder.
